Al-Wardi had joined Zamalek during the last summer transfers, in a free transfer deal, coming from Moroccan club Raja Casablanca.
Mansour said in statements to the Zamalek Club channel: “Zakaria has been going through a bad psychological state since the mistake he made in the Super Cup match with Al-Ahly, which was held last October 28 at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in the Emirati city of Al-Ain, due to the criticism he is exposed to by the fans of Zamalek after he caused The first goal for Al-Ahly against his own team.
Mansour added, “Zakaria told us of his desire to leave the team 10 days ago, and we tried to persuade him to continue with us during the coming period, but he insisted on his departure from the club next January.”
He explained: “There are a few Zamalek fans who always attack the players and want to bring down the club, and before they caused the departure of Mahmoud Alaa and the Pink Day, but I will take legal measures with them if they continue to do so.”
He continued, “Al-Wardi agreed with us to terminate the contract by mutual consent, and the player will refund the contract advance that he received since joining the team.”
