PlatinumGames issued a statement following the recent controversy related to Bayonetta 3 and a salary dispute with a voice actress.
As we reported, the Bayonetta actress last weekend Hellena Taylor posted a series of videos in which she accused PlatinumGames of making her an offer of $ 4,000 in total to record her lines as the game’s protagonist. She noticed that she didn’t feel it was right and was later replaced by the actress Jennifer Hale. Shortly after Taylor posted her videos of her, a series of reports revealed that she had actually been offered $ 3,000- $ 4,000 for 5 sessions, meaning she would be making between $ 15,000 and $ 20,000 in total. Taylor denied these reports, calling them a lie, and this really was her last big development so far.
Now, PlatinumGames has officially spoken and asked fans not to harass Jennifer Hale. Many have targeted Hale on social media for replacing Taylor with some believing she was not entitled to her role. PlatinumGames didn’t offer much else in the way of further clarification on the matter with Taylor, but simply asked fans to be nice to the “new” voice actress.
