Ursula Wikström fought until the end to win the European Golf Tour competition in Newmarket-on-Fergus, Ireland. Wikström finished the competition at 14 under par with a score of 274 tied with the Czech Republic Klara Spilkova and Denmark Nicole Borch Estrup with, but Spilkova took the win in the replay.
Wikström shared the second place with Borch Estrup and still missed his first victory in the races of the European tour.
Wikström played the competition evenly with round scores of 69, 66, 71 and 68. Spilkova started the competition well, failed in the third round, but on the final day fought back to fight for victory with a score of 67 strokes.
In addition to the replay, Spilkova’s dramatic day culminated on the 17th hole, when she had to hit the ball while standing with her feet in water.
