Even though they’re no longer as popular as they once were, point and click adventure games are still loved. There are some classic games from the 90s branded LucasArts that hold a special place in the hearts of many, like Grim Fandango, Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 and naturally, The Secret of Monkey Island. About the latter, Return to Monkey Island will be out soon and the technical specifications of the game have recently been leaked online.
Perhaps not so surprisingly, these specs are very affordable – needing an Intel i3 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and just 4GB of storage, according to Steam, most gamers will likely have no trouble running the game. Perhaps most interesting is that you might not even need a dedicated graphics card.
Given that the game requires a Radeon HD 7750 or a GeForce GT 640, which have 1GB and 2GB of VRAM respectively, gamers don’t have to rush into buying a next-generation GPU. This is not a foregone conclusion as more and more upcoming games require a next-gen graphics card which, as we know, is very difficult to find these days.
We remind you that Return to Monkey Island will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch from 19 September.
