Southampton said it has signed Nigerian Joe Aribo from Scottish Rangers on a four-year contract.
The 25-year-old joined Rangers from Charlon Athletic in 2019, and scored 26 goals in 150 games, and led them to the League title in 2021 after an absence of ten years, and the Scottish Cup last season.
British media reported that the deal cost six million pounds, and could rise to ten million with bonuses.
Aribo has made 20 appearances for Nigeria since his first appearance three years ago.
Southampton coach Ralph Hasenhuettl said: “Joe has great potential and we are delighted to have him join our squad before we fly to Austria to start pre-season.”
Southampton have previously signed Matthew Les, Armel Bella-Kuchap, Romeo Lafia and Gavin Pazono.
Southampton begins the new season by going out to face Tottenham Hotspur on the sixth of August.
