Update from Friday, May 06, 9:17 a.m.: In Duisburg there was no further escalation on the night of Friday (May 6th). Four people were injured in a shooting on Wednesday evening. The shots are attributed to a conflict between the Hells Angels biker group and a Turkish-Arab clan. The night passed without any new incidents, a police spokesman said on Friday morning.
The police arrested 15 people. A spokesman for the Duisburg public prosecutor’s office announced on Thursday that they were able to leave police custody after they had been treated by the police. Other suspects were initially not arrested, the investigation into those involved continued. At least 19 shots were fired in the Hamborn district of Duisburg on Wednesday evening.
