Luis Díaz: date of the second leg in the Champions League semifinal

The English team defeated Spanish Villarreal in the first leg.

Liverpool, with Luis Dïaz, sees the Champions League final closer after beating Villarreal 2-0 this Wednesday in the semi-final first leg of the top continental club tournament at Anfield.

The English team got the match and the tie back on track in just two minutes with an own goal from Pervis Estupiñán (53) and a goal from Senegalese Sadio Mané (55), which forced Villarreal to come from behind in their stadium on Tuesday.

“It’s going to be different there,” warned Villarreal coach Unai Emery, assuring that “we have to propose ourselves” at La Cerámica. Liverpool, who came into the match as favourites, took control of the ball from the beginning against a Villarreal that barely disturbed the goal defended by Alisson.

The ‘Yellow Submarine’ built a wall in front of his goal against which Liverpool crashed again and again, who would have to wait until the second half to find the fault in Villarreal’s net.

Game of return

The second leg of this semifinal series will be played next Tuesday, May 3, in Spanish territory.

The game will be at 2 pm, Colombian time, at the Ceramica stadium.

The winner of the bracket will play the grand final against the winner of the series between Manchester City and Real Madrid. The final will be played on May 28.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will play again this Saturday against Newcastle, at 6:30 am, Colombian time, in the Premier League.
