The Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures inflation in the city of São Paulo, rose 0.94% in the first four weeks of March, accelerating from the 0.90% high seen at the end of February, according to published data. this Thursday, 10th, by the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe).
In this month’s initial reading, only two of the seven components of the IPC-Fipe gained strength: Personal Expenses (from -0.26% in February to 0.22% in the first four weeks of March) and Clothing (from 0.77% to 1 .02%).
On the other hand, there was a deceleration in the categories Housing (from 0.63% to 0.57%), Transport (from 0.70% to 0.58%) and Health (from 0.51% to 0.41%).
The items Food and Education rose 2.26% and 0.13%, respectively, in the March preview, repeating last month’s variations.
