In the programming, the works by Moreno-Buendía and the recital by the prestigious soloist Pacho Flores stand out.
The Víctor Villegas Auditorium will start on March 20 the ‘Musical Sundays’, a cycle of five chamber concerts that includes absolute premieres and first auditions in the Region of some of the programmed works.
The program highlights pieces by the master of Spanish lyricism, the Murcian composer Manuel Moreno-Buendía; the performance of Le Muse Italiane, the group of female performers that includes some of the former members of the historic group Rondó Veneziano; or the recital by the world-class soloist Pacho Flores, among others.
The first of the concerts, with a program dedicated to the composer Moreno-Buendía, will be performed by the Murcia Region Symphony Orchestra OSRM with Jorge Herrera on guitar and Miguel Borrego on baton. The recital proposes Salzillesca, the Goyesco Concert, for guitar and strings, with the first hearing in the Region of Murcia, and Don Quixote Centenario.
Le Muse Italiane will unravel on April 3 a repertoire dedicated to the seventh art with well-known soundtracks and its tribute to the composer Ennio Morricone. On April 24, one of the highlights of the cycle is reserved, with a performance by the Regional Symphony with trumpet Pacho Flores. This prestigious interpreter will premiere three pieces in the auditorium: ‘Preludio y fuga’, ‘El concerto del mar para cuatro venezuelano y cuerdas’, by Leo Rondón and ‘Heterónimos’. On May 8, the 17-year-old pianist Emin Kurkchyan will arrive at Víctor Villegas and the Murcia Region Youth Orchestra, OJRM, will close the cycle on May 29.
All concerts will be held at 12 noon and can be enjoyed at a price of 10 euros.
