On April 24, a private screening of the exhibition “Solar Garden” took place in the capital, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the famous artist Zurab Tsereteli. The master, who celebrated his anniversary in January, personally appeared at the ceremony at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art on Petrovka, which he founded a quarter of a century ago. And towards the end of the evening he began to paint a picture in one of the halls in front of the assembled public.
“Russians and children need to hold a pencil and love their land, then there will be wealth! It was like that before. And that’s why there were giant artists in Russia,” Tsereteli shared with journalists his thoughts on what inspires him.
Museum employees told Izvestia that the painting has not yet been completed and the artist plans to come again to complete the work.
In total, the exhibition included about 300 works from different periods of Tsereteli’s work and various techniques – from painting, graphics and sculpture to enamels, mosaics and architectural models. The exhibition will open its doors to the general public on April 26.
Among the first guests were guests of honor, artists and Izvestia correspondents.
