The National Ambulance confirmed the readiness of its medical staff to accompany and support the final Formula 1 race for the 2021 season. Specialized in providing integrated emergency coverage for more than 3000 team members in the circuit during the race activities. It also provides 12 fully-equipped ambulances to provide emergency medical services in case of a call.
The preparations of the ambulance teams included extensive equipment and training, including rescue courses and reconnaissance of the various stations of the 5.28 km race track, and the inclusion of the modifications that the track underwent in this year’s emergency and safety protocols, in addition to following and applying medical protocols that guarantee the highest standards of prevention from the Covid virus – 19. Ahmed Saleh Al Hajri, CEO of National Ambulance, confirmed the readiness of the National Ambulance to provide integrated emergency coverage for this international sporting event hosted by the capital Abu Dhabi, which will be provided by qualified ambulance cadres with rich experience in covering this type of race.
He added: Preparations for the Grand Prix began six months before the start of the event, including the stages of planning, risk assessment, organization and the development of emergency protocols, in line with the modifications taking place in the race track this year, in order to secure integrated emergency coverage in accordance with the highest international standards for competitors in the circuit. .
Al-Hajri praised the long-standing and close partnership with Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management Company to make Abu Dhabi’s hosting of this huge sporting event and many other events organized at Yas Marina Circuit throughout the year.
