The preliminary stage competitions for the 11th session of the Sharjah School Theater Festival continued today at the Cultural Center in Khor Fakkan, where the jury, consisting of artists Ibrahim Salem, Khawla Al-Hadef and Abdullah Masoud, witnessed 6 performances by schools in the Eastern Region. The first performance was presented by Al-Jisr School for Basic Education, entitled “Al-Adeed,” written by Directed by the teacher, Mr. Muhammad Al-Habsha, the show addressed the importance of cooperation between brothers in facing the challenges imposed by life’s circumstances.
The second show was titled “Al-Bashek” and was presented by Wadi Al-Helu School for the first, second and secondary episodes. It was written and directed by teacher Hassan Musa Hassan Al-Jabri, and through its scenes it calls for respect for human dignity.
Under the title “Drawn Talk,” the third presentation presented by Al-Qudwa School for Basic Education was directed by teacher Aisha Thabet Al-Qaidi. The work tells the story of the child Rasem, who spent his life as an orphan and found in practicing the art of drawing something that alleviates the burden of his loneliness.
The Hebron Bin Ahmed Secondary School presented the fourth show, entitled “Hell,” and directed by teacher Marwan Balakhdar Al-Salaawi. The show monitors the life of a writer whose reality diaries and creative imaginations intersect in his mind.
Regarding the role of parents in motivating children to excel academically, he talked about the fifth presentation presented by Al-Khalidiya School for Basic and Secondary Education, under the title “The Winning Deal,” directed by teacher Obaid Ali Rashoud Al-Hamoudi.
As for the sixth presentation, it was entitled “The Journey of Wisdom,” and was presented by Al-Mahmoud Secondary Education School, and directed by teacher Mustafa Ibrahim.
