Brazilian voters living abroad were able to go to the polls in 181 foreign cities
The TSE (Superior Electoral Court) reported that by 11:00 am (Brasília time), 44 countries had already closed the voting for President of the Republic this Sunday (Oct 2, 2022).
There are a total of 181 foreign cities that have polling places in Brazilian elections. The official disclosure of the results by the TSE will only be made from 17:00 (Brasília time), when voting is closed across the country.
The voters themselves can, however, check the ballot papers at each polling station. More than 697 thousand Brazilians who are eligible to vote abroad. They can vote only for President of the Republic.
There was a 39.2% increase compared to 2018 in the number of voters abroad.
