Guasave, Sinaloa.- The director of the women in Guasave highlighted that they have 241 active protection orders in the almost five months that this government has been in office, in order to protect women who suffer from assault.
Xóchitl Berenice Soto Fierro mentioned that 70 percent of the complaints of this type reach the last instances, and the rest desist.

He pointed out that they work by providing them with psychological support and it is about convincing the affected person that the decision they made when requesting help was the best.
“Regularly those who give up tend to return with their partner, but fortunately there are fewer, and we have noticed a great difference that the majority do leave until the last consequences,” he said.
He stressed that one of the recommendations is that the aggressor also go to therapy, since it is very important, and they have been trying to get to where the possible aggressors are, so they no longer only focus on educational institutions, but have also been assisting popular neighborhoods and companies, to make them see what is happening and how it can be prevented.
Soto Fierro made a call to all those women who are suffering from attacks, to come to the Institute to denounce, because all the information they provide will not be made public, since they are protected and confidential data.

“All that data that is in the Institute is confidential and protected, they have nothing to worry about,” said the director of Immujeres.
He also stated that they have not had complaints from men who suffer abuse, but if a complaint is filed they would proceed to support him, just as they take cases of battered women.
