There are good reasons why German is called the language of poets and thinkers. But not everything speaks in her favor. For people who are just learning German, it is often a (very, very high) wall that needs to be overcome. Because if you look at it objectively, German doesn’t sound nice, nor is it particularly easy to learn. And maybe is German is even the strangest language in the world.
Things get particularly wild with some words that we will never really get used to and don’t want to. Also Redditor orgypie wanted in his AskReddit poll know which the ugliest German words are. And I’m curious if you agree with the answers.
