100-year-old groom and 102-year-old bride got married in the USA
In the United States, a 102-year-old woman and a 100-year-old man got married after meeting in a nursing home. About it writes New York Post.
On May 19, 2024, Marjorie Fiterman and Bernie Littman were married in the same nursing home where they met nine years earlier. The ceremony was performed by Rabbi Adam Wolberg. “Both of you have already accumulated life wisdom and experience, and your views, feelings and opinions are well formed at this point. This doesn’t mean you won’t continue to learn and grow as people. But I think it’s safe to say that what you know and understand about each other is exactly what the future holds for you. And the things that you love about each other will never change,” he told the newlyweds.
The total age of the bride and groom is 202 years. This allows them to claim the record as the oldest couple to get married. Fittman’s granddaughter has already submitted an application to the Guinness Book of Records. The current record is held by Doreen and George Kirby of England, whose combined age was 194 and 279 days on their wedding day in 2015, according to the Guinness World Records website.

Littman’s family was very happy that he had found a companion. The man had lived with his wife Bernice for 65 years, and everyone believed that he would remain a lonely widower. Fitterman also lost her husband, Morris, in 1999 after a long marriage. However, having met, both of them realized that they were ready for new love.
Earlier it was reported that a 103-year-old woman from Great Britain called love the secret of her longevity. She advised loving yourself and everyone around you, doing what brings you happiness.
