100 km of Champions: Rossi, Lorenzo, Vinales and Rins in the race | FormulaPassion.it

There will be a respectable parterre for the seventh edition of the 100 km of Champions, the traditional motocross race to be held in Tavullia, on Valentino Rossi’s ranch. In addition to the rider from Pesaro, who recently bid farewell to MotoGP, there will be other representatives of the premier class: Alex Rins (Suzuki), Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini), Luca Marini (Ducati VR46), Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati VR46) and Maverick Vinales (Aprilia). An exceptional presence was that of Jorge Lorenzo, winner of five world championship titles in the MotoGP. There will also be Iker Lecuona, who will race in Superbike in 2022, and Jeremy McGrath, 50 year old supercross legend.
Absent Franco Morbidelli, in order not to jeopardize the recovery from the knee injury, ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia, operated during the week to remove the plates applied to the leg for the 2020 injury and Fabio Quartararo, who will have to attend the FIM awards ceremony.
The 2019 edition – the last one disputed – was won by the Valentino Rossi-Luca Marini duo, the 2018 by Rossi-Morbidelli, the 2017 by Morbidelli-Pasini, the 2016 by Rossi-Marini.
