10 startup companies for entrepreneurs from students and graduates of the Higher Colleges of Technology competed in a competition held at the conclusion of the activities of the “Creative Economic Free Zones” forum, which was organized by the Higher Colleges of Technology over a period of three days at “Expo 2020.” These companies represent the outputs of the colleges’ economic zones that provide services And solutions and products that are economically feasible. “Sora” achieved the first place, and it is working on developing an intelligent self-management system for personal mailboxes, for its founder Khaled Al-Sabahi, which is a delivery company that seeks to be one of the leading future companies in providing advanced technology solutions for transporting and delivery of goods.
While the second place went to the company “E-Bakery”, which seeks to make a shift in the way consumers shop for baked goods, to its founder Ahmed Shaye. The company “Kanz Art” won the third place, which is an art platform that allows artists to present their works and masterpieces to all segments of society, for its founder Ali Al Nowais.
This competition comes within the activities of the forum, which discussed over two consecutive days, with the participation of academics, representatives of business sectors and specialists, new developments and future trends in the sectors of health care, education, technology and sustainability in light of the effects and repercussions of the “Covid-19” pandemic, enabling students to successfully deal with the labor market and its challenges, and developing their ideas and the establishment of their companies.
