Zverev takes a racket from the referee’s chair in Acapulco
Alexander Zverev was expelled from the tournament Acapulco ATP. The German tennis player repeatedly took to racket the chair of the referee (the Italian Alessandro Germani), one of which almost hits him in the foot at height. Then, as the referee is getting off the chair, he yelled something at him and threw a new racket towards the chair.
After playing and winning against Brooksby in singles, the night before, the most “nocturnal” match in the history of tennis (match ended at 4:54 am), the number 3 in the Atp ranking lost the doubles match paired with Marcelo Melo (they faced Glasspool-Heliovara): the two went under 6-8 in the decisive tiebreak when an opponent’s ball that seemed to have gone out (even for the audience), was called good by the referee.
