Consumers in Ukraine do not need to worry about gas shortages – today there are enough reserves in the country. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a commentary to ICTV channel, reports Interfax…
“Today there is enough gas for society, enough gas for consumers at very normal prices compared to European prices,” the head of state said. He also promised that the authorities and the Naftogaz company will be able to guarantee consumers “a specific stable price and a stable volume”.
Zelensky stressed that the Ukrainian government has taken important and timely actions that have allowed the situation to normalize. So, according to the president, without the intervention of the authorities, the price of gas for ordinary citizens would not be 8 hryvnia per 1 cubic meter, but at least 50 hryvnia.
Gas prices in Europe are showing record growth this year. On October 5, the exchange price for gas in Europe renewed its historical maximum and exceeded $ 1,300 per thousand cubic meters.
