President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the proposal to start negotiations with Russia on the territory of Belarus, reports RIA News.
According to Zelensky, negotiations in Minsk are impossible. “Warsaw, Bratislava, Budapest, Istanbul, Baku – we all offered this to the Russian side. And any other city suits us. In a country from whose territory missiles do not fly,” the Ukrainian leader said.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian delegation, consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the presidential administration, arrived in Belarusian Gomel and would be waiting for representatives of Ukraine.
On February 26, Zelensky asked Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to mediate talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
