The Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination organized a visit for a number of people with visual challenges, including its cadres and students, to Qasr Al Hosn to learn about the history of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its rich heritage, which links a success story between the past and the present, and reflects the features of the authentic Emirati culture and its ancient identity. Naama Abdul Rahman Al Mansouri, a member Federal National Council, Director of the Department of Welfare of the Blind at the Foundation.
The visit aimed to introduce Qasr Al Hosn, which is a cultural landmark within the Presidential Palace complex in Abu Dhabi, and one of a limited number of presidential complexes in the world. Which encourages members of society, especially people of determination, to visit archaeological sites, in addition to strengthening the institution’s role in spreading cultural awareness and openness to the cultures of different peoples.
During the tour around the palace, the participants listened to an explanation of its history, and were briefed on the achievements made by the emirate over three centuries, until this palace became one of the most prominent tourist attractions that the UAE capital Abu Dhabi is proud of.
They also listened to an explanation of the importance of Qasr Al Hosn and the important role it played in the making of historical events in the region, and viewed the valuable exhibits that highlight the features of the authentic Emirati culture and its distinct identity, and viewed the permanent valuables.
