Zakharova called the conference on Ukraine in Switzerland a worthless enterprise
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova called the International Conference on Ukraine, scheduled for June 15-16 in Switzerland, a worthless enterprise. About it report “News”.
“Everyone knows that this is a worthless enterprise. Not everyone has the opportunity to talk about it out loud,” she said.
Zakharova added that the major powers either refused to participate in the conference, “or lowered the level to a technical level.”
Earlier, the largest party in the Swiss parliament, the Democratic Union of the Center (UDC), called on the country’s authorities to invite Russian representatives to the upcoming summit on Ukraine in Bürgenstock.
The Ukraine Summit will take place in Bürgenstock from June 15 to 16. More than 160 countries were invited to the conference, but Russia did not receive an invitation.
On June 4, Ambassador at Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik said that the refusal of countries to participate in the Swiss summit on Ukraine is a pragmatic decision.
