A bicycle, a boat and a house. Three in one. This is Z-Triton, an electric caravan designed for adventurers who want to travel and navigate with a home in tow. Designed by the Latvian company Zeltini, the vehicle has space for two people to sleep inside.
At the moment it is only a prototype and is in the testing phase, but its creators intend to launch it on the market in 2021. They believe that it may be successful to offer it for rent in nature reserves with infrastructure for cycling, sailing and camping.
Bike mode allows pedaling to move on land. The vehicle has an electric motor that offers a range of around 40 kilometers depending on the terrain conditions and the force used by the pilot. The vehicle is equipped with lights, a horn, and USB charging ports. In addition to the rider, Z-Triton has a seat with a seat belt for an additional passenger. And it even has a place reserved for pets that can be replaced by a chair for children. The caravan, which has six solar panels, has three easily foldable wheels.
In true Pokémon style, go from ground mode to water mode in just a few minutes. After inflating some side frames, Z-Triton is ready. The boat is designed to navigate lakes and rivers. It has two adjustable seats, headlights, and a steering wheel. In addition, it has an electric motor with a range of about 10 kilometers.
When parked, Z-Triton turns into a house. It has six shelves designed to store food and other items and has a small folding table. The seats can be removed to turn the caravan into a small bedroom with just a few pillows, mats and sleeping bags. The electric caravan, which could be ready by next summer, will cost between 7,000 and 9,000 euros.
