Yuji Naka shoots to zero on Square Enix: ‘I don’t think they care about video games or fans’

Since its announcement, Balan Wonderworld had been presented as a promising game: however, the final result was unable to fulfill the high expectations of both Square Enix than fans. This incident affected the director’s reputation Yuji Nakawho everyone knows as Sonic’s father.

It is Naka who through his Twitter account announced that he has sued Square Enix for removing him as director of Balan Wonderworld. In a lengthy thread, Yuji Naka admits that he was fully aware that the game wasn’t over and that Square Snix didn’t want to hear his warnings from him. The company removed the director from the project 6 months before the premiere of Balan Wonderworld.

Naka essentially feels sorry for Balan Wonderworld and apologizes to all the fans who bought the game: “For me, it is a real shame that Balan Wonderworld was released despite its status in work in progress. I wanted to launch it as an action game, considering several things. I think Square Enix and Arzest are companies that don’t care about games or fans“.
