This mobile game was developed by Aiming Inc, and the report indicates that Naka bought these shares prior to the official reveal of the title. In this way, it has been indicated that the intention of Sonic’s co-creator was to wait for the announcement to inflate the value of the company. Along with Naka, Taisuke Sasaki, a former Square Enix employee, and Fumiaki Suzuk, a partner, were also apprehended.
At the moment there is no statement from Square Enix, and it is unknown how severe the punishment will be for Yuji Naka and the other two people arrested. On related issues, Naka sued Square Enix for issues related to Balan Wonderworld.
Editor’s Note:
Without a doubt, quite bizarre news. It’s kind of sad that Yuji Naka, who was responsible for some good Sonic games, finds himself in this position. Not only Balan Wonderworld it was a disaster, but now he’s been arrested for using information he shouldn’t have used.
