Yuji Naka seems to have been arrested a second timeagain due to the investigation into the alleged inside trading made by the game designer against Square Enix, in this case regarding the release of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier.
Yuji Naka, who is considered the main one author of Sonic as well as a historical figure in videogame development, linked to the golden age of Sega, he continues to be investigated by the police in Japan, in particular on charges of having used confidential information obtained during his period working at Square Enix for his own personal gain.
It’s not the first time this has happened: Naka had already been arrested for the first time on the same charge, but the situation in this case is different and specifically linked to the information regarding the launch of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. Apparently, the game designer would have used the information acquired from within Square Enix on the launch of the game to carry out financial maneuvers.
In this case, Naka would have acquired shares of Square Enix and also of Ateam in anticipation of their increase in value after the announcement of the game under development and its release on the market, a maneuver however prohibited according to the laws against insider trading, since it is confidential information and which Naka, officially, shouldn’t even have know.
