Turning Red gave a lot to talk about in its opening week, especially since some people did not think it was good that pixar don’t make movies for them anymore.
This new film introduces Mei, a girl facing her hormonal change process, and when she feels insecure about herself, she transforms into a red panda as a way to protect her heart.
Oddly enough, Yami has a similar function in Yu-Gi-Oh! and based on this fact, a fanart transformed the card master into a character out of Turning Red.
Through his Twitter account, @leario4 presented a very peculiar version of yugiwho instead of assuming the personality of the pharaoh transforms into a red panda.
As you can see, its appearance is challenging and even aggressive, ideal for maintaining a card duel with even the most imposing rival.
Though it might seem like pointless fanart at first, when you think about it, both transformations serve to protect their wearers from imminent danger, be it insecurity or an ancient enemy.
Turning Red’s crossover with Yu-Gi-Oh! went viral
The proposal was so interesting for the users of Twitterwhich in a few hours exceeded 7,000 positive reactions, which baffled @leario4.
The community made mostly positive comments, although there was one or another deviant who was offended by the crossover.
Undoubtedly, this art inspired by Turning Red It reminds us of a detail that went unnoticed by many, and that is that Yugi, even with all his talent, from time to time needed help to leave his fears behind.
What do you think of this fanart? Does it do justice to Yu-Gi-Oh! already the Pixar movie? Tell us in the comments and don’t forget to follow us on our social networks.
