Does the DANA destroyer of Valencia have anything to do with climate change? It may be, but for now we only have guesses, experts do not agree and there are no historical records to compare it. Furthermore, what they now call DANA is the “cold drop” of a lifetime. That there have not been torrential rains, floods, floods and deaths in the Levant? And much worse! The problem in Valencia has not been the still-discussed climate change, but rather the fight against climate change: the well-intentioned but sometimes disastrous efforts of environmentalists, scientists and progressive politicians to fight against supposed climate change. It is their environmental policies that have aggravated the damage caused by DANA: the demolition of dams, the renaturalization of rivers, the vegetation that they do not allow to be removed, the reeds that block everything. But if you say it, they call you a denier. They also call you a Francoist if you recognize something obvious: that Franco saved Valencia from this DANA by diverting the Turia along another channel. And DANA is the best proof, since it has become a banner of climate denialism. Since climate denialism is also inseparable from the rise of the extreme right and its contagion to the traditional right, it takes advantage of the open window to include migrants, NGOs or taxes in the mix, which all add up to the cause, and now They are taking a long time to introduce feminism too.
We can laugh at their nonsense, but little fun. It’s very easy to fall down the slide in the first paragraph. The social unrest and uncertainty that has accompanied us for years makes it a temptation to let ourselves slip, we already saw it in the pandemic.
