Al-Hadidi said that among the members of the Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa are professors of psychiatry and professors of sociology, and that the members of the fatwa in the center received many training courses from these professors and have acquired sufficient experience to provide psychological, religious and cognitive support for all cases that need it, and they achieved great success. in the matter.
He added in statements to “Sky News Arabia” that the center dealt, within 24 hours since the initiative’s re-launch, with only 15 cases of people who intended to commit suicide and get rid of their lives, and cases of mothers who intended to slaughter their children, and the center succeeded in dissuading them from those thoughts, according to Al-Hadidi.
Al-Hadidi explained that he personally went to deal with the case of a woman with children who tried to get rid of her life more than once by throwing herself in front of public transport buses, but she was rescued by the parents at the last minute.
He added that many cases contact the center by phone and receive the required psychological and religious support, and other cases attend the center’s headquarters, while other cases go to the center’s scientists and specialists in their places of residence to deal with them.
He pointed out that, according to what the Center monitored, the reasons for thinking about suicide are many and varied, foremost of which are economic reasons, then family reasons and the failure of parents to include their children. For all people, but the abilities of people to bear and coexist with it differ, and those whose abilities are weak are the ones who resort or think of getting rid of their lives.
Al-Hadidi said that the more a person’s culture and knowledge increases, the greater his ability to absorb and overcome problems and obstacles, as he is preoccupied and concerned with other matters such as reading and achievement and loves life and people. Anyone is exposed to it, because religion is a place of protection and protection.
He added that the least educated and knowledgeable are often bullied in their surroundings and are viewed as ignorant or of lesser degree, which causes them psychological pressures that make them less able to bear and treat problems, and then think about ending their lives.
He stressed that the center’s mission is to increase the dose of scientific and religious education and provide psychological support to those who lack these matters in order to keep them away from thinking about getting rid of their lives and in order to increase their abilities to overcome the problems they face.
