Yet another victim at work in Tuscany: after 40 days in a coma, a warehouse worker dies overwhelmed by a pallet
Run over by a pallet in the warehouse of the company where she worked. That of Tiziana Bruschi is the umpteenth death at work in Tuscany, the twenty-sixth since the beginning of the year, which occurred last Monday after more than a month in a coma. On 2 September the 58-year-old woman was hit in the head by a pallet that had fallen from a three-meter high shelf in the warehouse of Sistema srl, a company in Scandicci, in the province of Florence, where she had worked for years. After the accident she entered a deep coma, from which she never came out. The owner of the company specializing in the molding of plastics and car components, previously investigated for very serious culpable injuries, will have to answer for manslaughter
According to the first reconstructions, a colleague who was arranging other pallets on the same shelf with a forklift would have dropped the pallet. Investigations by magistrates, aimed at ascertaining that all security procedures have been prepared and followed, could lead to the registration of other persons in the register of suspects in addition to the owner.
According to Corriere della Sera, Fiorentina fans could hold an initiative at the Franchi stadium to commemorate the 58-year-old.
