“Yerry Mina is working with our medical team to try to take some early steps and make sure she recovers, because I know he’s had some kind of repetitive injuries, different injuries, but he’s had his issues. I think it’s very important that we focus on this to do it well,” said Englishman Frank Lampard, coach of Everton, from England, during his last press conference.
The Colombian soccer player had suffered an injury in last week’s game between the ‘toffee’ team and Newcastle, for the Premier League. Initially, Lampard had reported that ehe born in Guachené will be 8 to 10 weeks off the field. A high-grade muscle injury, in the quadriceps, would be the main diagnosis.
Yerry Mina’s injury
“Mina won’t need surgery, but it will be a lot of work off the court. Obviously, it’s also quite a long injury, so Yerry will need some mental time to take a breather sometimes.”
Aware that injuries have hampered Mina’s career, Lampard added: “We will do everything we can to make sure he comes back and hopefully help prevent further injuries.”.
The Colombian central defender had scored a goal in Lampard’s debut, in the match against Brentford, after coming on in the 14th minute of the match, following Ben Godfrey’s injury.
