Armenia responded to Baku’s latest proposals on the draft peace treaty
The Armenian authorities sent Azerbaijan a new version of the draft peace treaty in response to Baku’s latest proposals on this issue. Press Secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Ani Badalyan spoke about this, writes the agency “Armenpress“
“Armenia responded to Azerbaijan’s latest proposals regarding the draft peace treaty by sending an updated, ninth edition,” Badalyan noted.
Yerevan and Baku are negotiating a peace treaty. One of the serious obstacles was the issue of demarcation of the common section of the border.
The day before, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov discussed the peace process between Baku and Yerevan with Louis Bono, senior adviser to the US State Department for negotiations in the Caucasus.
Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense Andrei Belousov, at a meeting of defense ministers of the CSTO countries, said that the West is imposing its mediation services on Armenia and Azerbaijan, offering to sign a peace treaty exclusively on Western platforms.
