A statement issued by the media center of the “Giants Brigades”, one of the formations of the joint forces, stated that “the joint forces continued their advance, and took control of the strategic Al-Aden triangle north of Hays district, southeast of Hodeidah, which links the district in Ibb governorate and Al-Jarrahi district.”
He pointed out that “the Houthi militias have retreated, after they have suffered heavy losses in equipment and lives.”
The statement added: “The joint forces fought violent battles against the Houthis, in which various types of medium and heavy weapons were used,” noting that “dozens of people were killed and wounded, and a number of Houthi elements were captured, and their military vehicles were damaged.”
It is noteworthy that the joint forces took control of strategic areas south of Hays district, southeast of Hodeidah, in the administrative borders of Taiz Governorate, southwest of Yemen.
This came after a large-scale attack from several axes on the Houthi militia fighters.
The joint forces took control of the strategic Saqm junction, southeast of Hays district, and the heights in its vicinity, during an attack launched by the Arab coalition aircraft.
