Yankees and Guardians, to wait one more day to advance in the Major Leagues

The rain did not allow the fifth game between the Yankees and Gaurdianes to be played this Monday.

This Monday the fifth game of the division series in the American League could not be played.

Heavy rain forced the decisive fifth game of the American League division series between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians, Major League Baseball (MLB) confirmed this Monday.

“Due to extended inclement weather tonight, Game 5 has been postponed and rescheduled for 4:07 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, 3:07 p.m. Colombian time)” at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, MLB said.

The game was supposed to be played this Monday, but the constant rain that fell in New York prevented it from taking place.

Due to prolonged inclement weather tonight, Game 5 of the #ALDS has been postponed and rescheduled for tomorrow at 4:07 PM ET.

Yankees had forced the fifth game on Sunday

The Yankees and Guardians split the first four games to two wins apiece. The winner of this series to the best of five games will advance to the final of the American League where they will play against the Houston Astros, who eliminated the Seattle Mariners.

On Sunday, the New York team, powered by Harrison Bader’s two-run homer, won 4-2 and tied this AL playoff at two wins apiece.

In the National League, the Philadelphia Phillies and San Diego Padres will meet in the championship series beginning Tuesday. The winners of these two qualifiers will fight for the title in the World Series, which begins on October 28.
