Yandex has launched a special rate for the rental of scooters for couriers

Couriers who deliver orders from Yandex.Food and Yandex.Lavka services will be able to use Yandex Go scooters at a special rate of 1 ruble per minute of travel. This is stated in a press release at the disposal of Izvestia on October 28.

In addition, couriers do not have to pay for standby time. For all other users, renting a scooter costs 6 rubles for 1 minute and 50 rubles for the beginning of the trip.

Couriers can see the special rate in the Yandex Go application when they are completing their next order.

“The new opportunity will be especially useful for on-foot couriers on non-working days, which are introduced in Moscow due to the coronavirus from October 28, 2021. During such periods, the number of orders usually increases dramatically – with scooters, couriers will be able to deliver more parcels during the day and earn more, “Yandex said in a statement.

Usually, couriers carrying out Yandex.Food orders deliver them to a distance of 3.5 km. According to experts, the delivery of food using scooters will allow couriers to increase their income by 30%.

Yandex recalled that for safe trips, scooters of their service accelerate to a maximum of 20 km / h, while in parks and other crowded places the speed is reduced to 10-15 km / h. Yandex has allocated such zones jointly with the Moscow Department of Transport. Couriers are advised to wear protective helmets.

During trips on Yandex Go scooters, life, health and civil liability insurance is valid.

Earlier, on October 12, it was reported about the start of revaccination of drivers and couriers carrying out orders through the services Yandex Go, Yandex.Eda, Yandex.Lavka and Yandex.Delivery. In addition, the company informs Yandex Go partners about the available disinfection points, where they can process their cars before going on the line or during the day.
