Superior in the first half, Palmeiras almost opened the scoring in the 15th minute. Midfielder Raphael Veiga took a risk from the edge of the area, Marcos Felipe rebounded and forward Rony tried to take advantage, but stopped again in the goalkeeper. At 27, there was no way. Midfielder Gustavo Scarpa took a corner kick, Fluminense’s defense moved away and forward Dudu, from outside the area, scored a great goal, in the angle.
Tricolor came back better at half-time and got the tie before the first minute, in a shot by Yago Felipe, from the edge of the area, which deflected on defender Luan and left the reach of goalkeeper Weverton. It was the defensive midfielder’s first goal in three months. The hosts had a penalty in favor in the 13th minute, but the video referee (VAR) identified an infraction by the cariocas at the beginning of the bid and the marking was cancelled.
