XPENG launches the new G6 and brings the number of fully electric models in its European range to three. We are talking in all respects about a Ultra-smart SUV coupe battery powered, and built on the basis of the latest generation of the innovative proprietary EV platform called SEPA 2.0. While waiting for further information on marketing in Italy and on the complete price list, XPENG has already announced that the price of the basic version will be less than 42,700 euros VAT included.
The new XPENG G6
The new XPENG G6 boasts an 800V architecture and offers ultra-fast charging up to 280 kW thanks to which the battery goes from 10 to 80% in less than 20 minutes. Speaking of the battery, there will be two packs available: one LFP (lithium iron phosphate) from 66 kWh with autonomy of up to 435 km, and another NCM (nickel cobalt manganese oxide) 87.5 kWh with autonomy of up to 570 km. The. is offered as standard rear-wheel Drivebut it can also be combined with four-wheel drive for a total of three solutions.

In terms of dimensions, the new XPENG G6 is 4.75 meters long, 1.92 meters wide, 1.65 meters high and has a wheelbase of 2.89 meters. The Chinese automaker itself describes its new electric ultra-smart coupe SUV as “hi-tech living room on four wheels“embellished with a boot load space of 571 litres which can increase to 1,374 liters with the rear seats folded.
Infotainment and technology
The infotainment system is based on the latest version of the operating system Xmart OS from XPENG and offers all comfort functions as standard XPILOT driver assistance systems: The most important driving information is in front of the driver on a 10.2″ display, while all other functions can be controlled via a high-resolution 14.96″ central screen.
