The candidate for the Presidency of the Republic for the PAN, PRI and PRD coalition, Xóchitl Gálvez Ruizsigned a commitment to address the historical problems that plague the mayor’s office of Iztapalapa in Mexico City.
Accompanied by Santiago Taboadacandidate for Head of Government, and Karen Quiroga, candidate for mayor of Iztapalapa, Gálvez detailed a comprehensive plan that includes improvements in security, drinking water, drainage, health, education and transportation.
At the event, Xóchitl Gálvez committed to renewing the drinking water network in Iztapalapa, focusing on the prevention of leaks and the modernization of extraction wells. “We are going to resolve the water issue, once and for all for Iztapalapa.
There’s a solution. There is water, what we need is to treat the city’s water, infiltrate rainwater and store that water. “Recover our rainforests, but to do that, you need money,” he declared before thousands of supporters.
Regarding security, Gálvez Ruiz promised to double the number of police elements and equipment, as well as install more neighborhood lights and alarms in the neighborhoods.
“Security is going to be the priority. Both Karen and Taboada are going to have federal resources. We are not going to do pharaonic works like the Mayan Train or Dos Bocas, we are going to invest in your safety,” the candidate emphasized.
Xóchitl Gálvez’s commitment also encompasses the improvement of the drainage system, the expansion of health and education services, and the improvement of public transportation in Iztapalapa. These plans seek to attack the structural problems that have affected the demarcation for decades.
In his speech, Gálvez Ruiz highlighted the importance of national unity and the need to overcome political divisions to advance as a country. “Enough division!Enough of hate! The most important thing is to unite Mexico, because no country moves forward divided,” he stated.
Santiago Taboada, candidate for Head of Government, highlighted that collaboration between levels of government will be crucial to implement these improvements. For her part, Karen Quiroga assured that her administration in Iztapalapa will be committed to transparency and efficiency in the use of resources.
In closing his speech, Gálvez Ruiz reiterated his vision for a fairer and safer Mexico, where cooperation and solidarity are the bases of development.
“Defending freedom, democracy and the division of powers is essential to have free elections and a country where we can all prosper,” he concluded.
