The PlayStation 5 is not the only console that has received a new update today, since the Xbox Series X|S has also received a series of firmware improvements, which not only offer greater stability, but also adds a visual element that fans have long requested.
The new Xbox Series X|S update is mainly focused on customization. In the past, players had to choose whether they wanted a dynamic background or game art as their background. Now both options are available at the same time.
There is also a new setting that allows players to change the color of their dynamic background without altering their default profile color. That’s not all, as Wi-Fi settings have also been updated, meaning Xbox consoles can now remember up to 10 previously used networksand you can switch between them without having to re-enter passwords.
The update also allows users to manage subscriptions directly from the console. This is not everything, since the console controller has also received a firmware update. This is what Xbox commented on the matter:
“If you use the Xbox Adaptive Controller, you’ll have expanded support for more connected USB accessories. This update will better support the full functionality of some accessibility peripherals. Each port now supports up to 12 buttons, a second device, and a hat switch.
You’ll also see improvements to the Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller’s wireless disconnects when a headset is connected to its 3.5mm audio port. Plus, you’ll get other bug fixes to make your games run smoother.”
Last but not least, the update also brings new navigation options within the Xbox app on PC, and Mouse and keyboard support for Xbox Cloud Gaming is now available to all players. All of this is now available for Xbox users. On related topics, you can learn more about the PlayStation 5 update here. Likewise, the Switch has also received an update.
