To Xbox Mexico it is a way of preserving ancestral traditions in conjunction with the most modern technology. Which the history of the International Day of Indigenous Peoples?
It was on December 23, 1994 that the general Assembly of the United Nations decided that it should be held every year. It was established to be held every August 9. But it is not just such a date, but there is a good reason behind it.
What is the International Day of Indigenous Peoples?
It commemorates the day that the working group on the multiple populations of indigenous (or native) peoples of the Subcommittee on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities held its first meeting.
That was in 1982. Inside Microsoft there is currently the initiative Indigenous. This is a group of employee resources looking for ‘honor, share and celebrate indigenous cultures within and beyond’ of the company.
In the codirection of the latter in the division of Xbox it’s found Jenn panattoni, descendant of the people karuk. According to her, Indigenous too ‘shapes inclusive technology to empower future generations’.
Panattoni She is also the director of social impact for this section of the company. This August 9 is the first time that the company recognizes the International Day of Indigenous Peoples with celebrations around the world.
As in the case of Xbox MexicoIt seeks to exalt and support indigenous communities through associations and initiatives of great significance.
Likewise, it seeks to promote greater awareness and representation. It is without an otherwise commendable effort and we will see how it develops.
