Xbox Game Pass adds two more indie games to the list of those already confirmed as arriving this summer on day one within the service catalogue: this is SteamWorld Heist 2 and Magical Delicacy.
As for the first, it is a game that is already quite well known: its direct launch on Game Pass had already been announced previously, but is reiterated in the new trailer released in recent days, which also allows you to take a more in-depth look to gameplay.
The second is instead a surprise, as regards Microsoft’s subscription service: its launch in Game Pass was in fact revealed in these hours, in correspondence with the presentation trailer which reveals the release date.
Between magical and strategic turn-based metroidvanias
Magical Delicacy is a special one 2D pixel art adventure with metroidvania elements which follows the exploits of Flora, an “adventure cook”.
Having moved to the strange town of Grat to expand her knowledge of magic, Flora finds herself involved in a series of adventures linked to the various inhabitants of the place.
The game appears to be characterized by a hybrid gameplay that mixes platform elements with others in an action adventure style, with a setting reminiscent of the metroidvania and with the addition of a cooking system that seems to be rather complex and deep.
All, of course, seasoned with magic and a truly relaxed and adorable atmosphere. The release is set for July 16th on PC and console, even directly within Game Pass.
SteamWorld Heist 2, on the other hand, is quite well known, and we had already seen a trailer on its features last month, after its presentation at Indie World: it is a sort of very interesting turn-based strategy game, whose release is scheduled forAugust 8also directly in Game Pass.
