As also reported by Gamespot, Xbox Game Pass is going to get one new feature that it can provide useful information to subscribers to the service, in particular by reporting the upcoming release of some games from the catalog.
In essence, it is an integration to the information that can be obtained on the games belonging to the user's catalog in the “My games and apps” section, in this case with a specific notification regarding the possible upcoming release of the title from Xbox Game Pass.
Launching a game that is meant to be removed from the cataloga message will inform the user when the service will next be exited, giving us the opportunity to know how much time we have available before it can no longer be played freely from the personal catalogue.
A new experience in the Xbox Guide
This functionality will also allow you to log in faster and directly to the Store, to possibly purchase the upcoming game by taking advantage of the discount linked to its membership in the Xbox Game Pass catalogue, at least while it is present.
Additionally, Game Pass users will be able to get a “new experience” in some sections of the Xbox Guide, although there is not yet much clarity on this, but the update will be made available soon for users of the Alpha Skip-Ahead cycle, so we will have the opportunity to find out more shortly.
After the testing period, the update will be made available to everyone at a later date, with more information to be published by Microsoft in the coming months. In the meantime, we're waiting for the announcement on the next Xbox Game Pass games: we have an idea of those arriving in February 2024, but Open Roads has just been postponed to the following month.
