New features coming to Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available on Xbox Cloud GamingThis means that even if you play on Xbox One or a low-end PC, you will be able to fly with the simulator. There’s just one catch: You can’t currently play on Xbox with a mouse and keyboard because Xbox Cloud Gaming only supports the controller for now. But second Jorg Neumannboss of Microsoft Flight Simulator, things are about to change: mouse and keyboard support is coming.
Neumann stated this in a Q&A video on Microsoft Flight Simulator, where he claims it will be platform-level support, meaning, in theory, any Xbox cloud game could offer mouse and keyboard support.
“The next step for us is the mouse and keyboard“said Neumann.”This is platform-level support, so it has nothing to do with us. Of course, the mouse and keyboard work for our simulation. So the platform team is working on it. I know I can’t give a date because it’s not up to us, I don’t know their plans but it’s coming“.
Neumann also said Microsoft Flight Simulator would get touch controls in the months to come, expressing interest in adding gyroscope support to cell phones. While the Flight Simulator chief pointed out that timing remains uncertain, the team hopes to debut in the future in the first half of 2022.
