When will Contraband and the other Xbox Game Studios titles come out?
2021 has been an incredible year for users Xbox and for the brand itself thanks to the launches of different games, to the significant growth of users Xbox Game Pass and console sales Xbox Series X / S. Moreover, Xbox Game Studios was recently crowned best publisher of 2021 by Metracritic.
Now, Jez Corden has been tasked with talking about the launch windows of Avowed, Contraband And State of Decay 3, among other Xbox-exclusive games that fans can’t wait to play. We know Xbox wants to get to a point where there is a steady stream of great games, which could happen in the next few years.
According to well-known journalist and insider Jez Corden, in a podcast with Rand al Thor, he stated that Contraband should have been released in 2022, but according to some documents it has been postponed until 2023. In the case of the Avowed release date, although not has yet to be confirmed, Corden is 100% sure it will be released in 2023.
“I still personal think State of Decay is 2024 probably, but who knows? We could be surprised.”
Jez has seen gameplay for The Outer World 2 and Avowed and know that those games are coming along.

Contraband was supposed to release in 2022 according to docs, but got delayed to 2023. Avowed is releasing in 2023. Jez says “I don’t think State of Decay 3 is next year, but I could be wrong”.

And it doesn’t stop there, as according to Corden State of Decay 3 will arrive on Xbox Series X | S in 2024. Finally, the reporter says he has seen gameplay of The Outer Worlds 2 and Avowed. Furthermore, he hopes that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will arrive before Project Mara.
