The FIA WTCR begins its second half of the season at the weekend and with it comes the news regarding the Compensation Weight.
The additional ballasts based on the average times obtained in Qualifying in the previous three events of the year mainly affect Hyundai, Lynk & Co and Cupra.
In the Czech Republic, the Elantra Ns of BRC and Team Engstler will have 10kg more than in the past, reaching the total 60kg which are already assigned to the Honda Civic Type R built by JAS Motorsport, which have not undergone any changes.
10kg are also given to Cyan’s Lynk & Co 03, which will reach 20kg in general, while the Cupra Leon Competición will receive 20kg of additional compensation weight, when they did not have any before.
Apart from the Hondas, there are no changes even for the second generation Audi RS 3 LMS, which will go like the last 10kg more races.
Also taking into account the Balance of Performance assigned by the Technical Department of WSC Ltd, the Audis will be about 1285kg in total, as will the Cupras. Lynk & Co and Hyundai will reach 1335kg, while the Hondas remain the most ‘fat’ with 1345kg.
