The FIA has released the new Compensation Weight bulletin for the latest WTCR event to be held in Sochi this weekend.
Compared to the previous Adria event, there are changes for Lynk & Co, Cupra and Honda, while the same values as Italy remain for Audi and Hyundai.
Taking into account the averages of the results obtained in the previous rounds, the 03 TCRs of the Cyan increase by 20kg, thus loading on board 30kg of Compensation Weight.
On the other hand, the Leon Competición of Zengo Motorsport and the Civic Type R built by JAS Motorsport for Münnich Motorsport decreased the loads.
The Spaniards have been removed all the 40kg they previously had, thus being able to run on their minimum weight of 1265kg, the Japanese cars benefit from a reduction of 20kg, thus being able to compete with a total of 30kg on board.
The heaviest on the track remain the Hyundai Elantra N of BRC Racing Team and Engstler Motorsport, with 60kg of Compensation Weight assigned.
Even the Audi RS 3 LMS of Comtoyou Racing will be able to compete on their minimum weight of 1265kg, without any additional weight.
Finally, remember that in Russia there will be the debut of the Lada Vesta Sport in the top touring series. As per regulation, wildcards are given 10kg more, to which 40kg must be added to be a model making its first outing in the series, and another 40kg since they do not have the single Marelli control unit.
To all these figures we must then add the various weights due to the Balance of Performance, which brings the total of Audi to 1265kg, Cupra to 1305kg, Lynk & Co to 1325kg, Honda and Hyundai to 1335kg, and Lada to 1365kg (the latter ‘ pardoned by the regulation which provides for a maximum weight increase of 100kg compared to the minimum).
