All through Donington weekend Toprak Razgatlioglu he has shown that he has what it takes to be a champion after a rather complex start to the season; on the British track, Yamaha’s number 1 hit one triplet never succeeded in the course of his Superbike career, being the first to cut the look at the end of Race-1, Superpole Race and Race-2. An unprecedented success that, in addition to helping to raise the morale of the Turk, puts the latter in the conditions of being able to return to the serious fight for the title, in the hope of hitting the encore world champion after last year’s triumph.
With seven weekends remaining in the championship, Razgatlioglu shortened his delay on Alvaro Bautista of 43 points, also favored by the fall of the Spaniard during Race-1. The world leader, however, the protagonist of a spectacular comeback Rea in the final stages of Race-2, he denied the Northern Irishman from Kawasaki to always finish in 2nd place in all three scheduled events, with the six-time world champion who, in any case, is now at 17 lengths from the top of the standings occupied by the Ducati rider.
