One of the sister series of The Simpson What stood out among many was The Kings of the Hill, the same one that ended its seasons a long time ago, and according to its creator, Mike Judge, there is the possibility of a comeback. However, the television network that gave it the green light in the beginning, FOXit would not be involved in the reboot.
This is what the president of Fox EntertainmentMichael Thorn:
That’s not going to be with Fox. We love that team and we love that show. Obviously, it’s part of our animation legacy. But what we’re really focusing on in animation is launching the next wave of our signature animated series, while continuing to carry on our great legacy.
We’re really focused on what are the new shows that we think can come up creatively, that we also have a significant ownership interest in, and if not own 100 percent. And on a show like King of the Hill, which we love, there’s really no opportunity for us to have an ownership stake in that show. It’s not a move that we can make as we grow our net wave of animation, where ownership is so, so crucial to the long-term success of this series.
The creators of The Kings of the Hill have had conversations with companies like Entertainment Flag, so at any moment it would be announced. It is even rumored that the original cast (in English) would return in the voices.
