World economy IMF warns: A macroeconomic transformation could slow global economic recovery

Recovery is hampered by problems with logistics chains and the uneven distribution of vaccines, among other things.

International Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva warned on Friday that the coronavirus’ own micron transformation could slow the global economic recovery from the pandemic, just as the delta transformation did in the past.

Speaking at an event organized by the news agency Reuters, Georgieva considers it likely that the IMF’s growth forecasts for the world economy will fall from what they were still in October. In October The IMF predicted 4.9 percent growth for the global economy next year.

“Even before the arrival of the new transformation, we were concerned that although the recovery would continue, it would show signs of slowing down,” Georgieva said.

According to the head of the IMF, inflation is now a problem for the leaders of different countries. Recovery is hampered by problems with logistics chains and the uneven distribution of vaccines, among other things.
